Friday 21st June - walk **** – Around Felixstowe – sunny and
hot.
The summer has definitely arrived today, a lovely still morning which would
have been good for some pics down at Felixstowe Ferry especially as a mist
rolled in but I had loads of pics of the Summer Solstice sunset taken at
the Ferry last night so decided to stay in bed! Sadly no pics were chosen
for the TV, that’s nothing so far this month, perhaps its time to have
some time off! We have Maeva most Fridays so while Mag walked around to
pick her up I did my exercises in the sunny back garden. She arrived an
hour later and we had the most wonderful day, she is Granny's girl at the
moment and is a little wary of me but she warmed to me as the day
continued:) She is pure joy at the moment and are blessed to have two great
Grand Children:) We set the water table up in a shady spot in the garden
and spent ages playing, she is not keen on standing on the grass, its
better now she has some wonderful jelly shoes but spent most of the time on
Mags lap, she is not overly keen on the water but she is warming to it
slowly! Her favourite today was playing with a small container of shells we
picked up from the beach. We were having such a great time I made lunch
which we ate while still playing with the water! Then with her very happy
and extremely vocal I left her with Mag while I completed my exercises,
then it was time to take her home heading down to Felixstowe prom near the
pier and Maeva was soon fast asleep. Mag and I then treated ourselves to a
whippy cone with a flack, yummy it was too, Maeva missed a treat. Being
such a lovely day with blue skis and a nice cool breeze blowing onshore it
was great to see people enjoying an afternoon on the beach:) We then turned
inland and walked through Langer Park, past Lidl and up to Maevas house, a
quick chat with Jay before we continued to the town stopping at the Co –
op to check if I had any pics I the latest Suffolk magazine and was pleased
to see I was the BIG picture again with a pic of the aurora taken at the
Ferry a few weeks ago! Then home after walking nearly 4 miles absolutely
knackered and the cuppa was very welcome!
